The importance of double checking…

PSA - Public Service Announcement

Every go anywhere and find that you forgot something, well it happened to me in the world of photography. Brought everything I needed but the battery, when to start shooting and looked at how many pictures on my card….

BLANK SCREEN…

I thought, oh no something is wrong. I hope nothing was broken as I flicked on on/of dial. Nada…

When to reset the battery in case the camera had just froze…. BINGO!!!

The battery compartment was empty. I guess there is no shooting for me today, so sad.

Just glad it wasn’t a paid gig (but then I check the equipment like 50 times… so no worries).

End of Public Service announcement.

What the Duck?

What the Duck! For photography fans out there this is one funny comic.

I’m sure at one point in time or another you have found yourself in one of the situations that is depicted in this webcomic.

Return to the Mill - August 17th

Scoped Out

With warmer weather then what winter could offer I will be heading back to the Mill.

Last time we had airsoft players with us to pose for pictures and in the cold weather it limited our ability to take photos (and movements). But with warmer weather and access to inside the mill and outside a lot more variety of images will be produced.

I will be setting up with my on-location off-camera lighting gear and will be participating in many of the different groups of photographers who will be shooting that day.

Nude Model - Nikita 01

Okay,

First off I had a great time and http://www.nikitap.com was a very cheerful and helpful model (considering this is the first pro-model I have shot).

Secondly I didn’t win (ahhh…) but that didn’t matter, I was there for the experience and so forth.

More pictures from the shoot are here on my flickr page - note nothing offensive but Not Safe for Work!
